When you arrive at the transport site’s parking lot stay in your vehicle. Our transport personnel will go car to car and distribute an admission form and medical questionnaire for each of your pet’s scheduled for surgery. We will also bring a carrier for your cat if you requested one when the appointment was made.
Review and sign the admission form(s) and medical questionnaire(s). Once all paperwork has been completed you will be instructed to drive your vehicle to our unloading station located at the back of our transport vehicle. If a line has formed (similar to a car pool line), we will unload the lead car at the drop off station before the next car is signaled forward to be unloaded. For distancing and safety reasons you will be asked to stay in your vehicle until you are at the drop-off station. Employees will not enter your vehicle but will stand directly outside your vehicle and take your pet from you at the drop-off station. Please have all cats in carriers. Please remove any collars or harnesses before unloading your pet.
An employee at the drop-off station will review your paperwork and any payments due will be collected at this time. If paying by cash we require exact change. If paying by credit or debit card we will collect the information without touching your card and use this information to charge your card through our terminal. Your card information will be shredded immediately after the transaction. If you are paying by check please make the check to: Alabama Spay Neuter Clinic.
When picking up your pet(s): The pick-up protocol is similar to the drop-off protocol. A pick-up station will be set up directly behind the transport vehicle. Once this is established we will form a pick-up line (similar to a car pool line) and we will load the lead car at the pick-up station before the next car is signaled forward to be loaded. For distancing and safety reasons you will be asked to stay in your vehicle until you are at the pick-up station. Employees will not enter your vehicle but will hand you your pet and paperwork directly outside your vehicle. Once loaded in your vehicle please return all Clinic carriers and leashes to our employee.
