Since opening in June 2008, Alabama Spay Neuter has performed more than 200,000 spay and neuter surgeries. Many of these pets had never seen a veterinarian or received vaccinations. Dogs and cats over 3 months old were vaccinated for rabies, and other core vaccines were also available at the time of surgery.
Starting this month, Alabama Spay Neuter will expand its services to include core vaccinations, heartworm testing for dogs, FIV/Leukemia testing for cats and parasite prevention for both. All services are provided by Dr. Ferrell’s practice, SNVS.

Pricing:
- Vaccines: $30 each
- Flea control and dewormer: $15 each
- Heartworm prevention: $6–$10 per dose (based on weight)
- Heartworm and FIV/Leukemia testing: $35 each
- No charge for the exam or office visit!

All veterinary medical services are performed by licensed, trained veterinarians, veterinary technicians and assistants. All of the services offered are preventive and will aid in keeping your pets healthy. The wellness program does not treat sick or injured animals.
